Description
xOverview
Protect your hot water system with the Senlanelec SL003 44-inch Magnesium Flexible Anode Rod. Crafted from high quality magnesium alloy, this four-segment design spans 44 inches and breaks into pieces under 12 inches each, letting you bend and position the rod to fit snugly within your tank. The 3/4 NPT thread is a common standard, enabling compatibility with many popular water heater brands, including GE, Rheem, Reliance, Richmond, and Kenmore. The result is a robust, long lasting component that aligns with the goal of reliable hot water without frequent mid season service calls.
Key benefits
- Magnesium alloy offers strong water-absorption properties to help protect the tank lining and extend heater life.
- Effective anti corrosion action combined with odor control to address hydrogen sulfide byproducts in water.
Installation and compatibility
Designed for ease, the modular four segment rod can be bent at the joints and trimmed with a hacksaw, making it easier to maneuver around internal baffles in larger tanks. The standard 3/4 NPT thread ensures wide compatibility with most 40 to 50 gallon units from major brands.
Maintenance and usage tips
- Inspect the rod every year and plan a replacement roughly every two years for best results.
- Follow local guidelines for replacing the rod, and use the included thread seal tape to ensure a snug seal.
What’s in the box
- 1 x 44-inch magnesium anode rod
- 1 x thread seal tape
- 1 x 1-1/16 inch hex wrench
With this set, you have a complete replacement kit from a trusted brand. The combination of material quality, flexible installation options, and broad brand compatibility aims to deliver a straightforward maintenance solution for many common water heaters.
