xOverview
The Klein Tools VDV512-101 Explorer 2 Coax Tester Kit is designed for technicians who need a portable, reliable way to verify coax cable continuity and chart cable routes. Its compact profile fits neatly in a pocket or tool pouch, while the feature set delivers quick, actionable insights that help you work efficiently on–site.
How it works
Test coax runs for continuity and pinpoint their paths with color-coded remotes. LED indicators clearly display PASS, OPEN, or SHORT, and indicate which remote corresponds to each tested cable. This combination makes it easier to identify issues and map installations without guesswork.
- Test up to four cables at once using four color-coded remotes
- Map cable locations with a single, intuitive operation
- Includes an F adapter to accommodate different coax configurations
On–the–job benefits
The kit is powered by two replaceable AAA batteries and arrives as a complete solution, including four remotes, an F adapter, and a removable remote holder for tidy storage. Its pocket-friendly size supports fieldwork, service calls, and quick diagnostics.
- Removable remote holder keeps components organized and accessible
- Battery-powered operation allows testing without mains power
- Professional-grade construction reflects Klein Tools’ long-standing craftsmanship
As a heritage-driven American brand, Klein Tools has built a reputation for quality and durability since 1857. This coax testing kit embodies that legacy, offering a practical tool that helps technicians approach installs and diagnostics with confidence.
