CHR Fence & Rail 4ft Hand Rail Extension for Outdoor Steps – Wall-Mounted Rectangular Top Rail

Many outdoor stair railings stop short of the house, leaving a gap between the last post and the wall right where people reach for support. This CHR Fence & Rail extension closes that gap. It is a 4 ft wall-mounted section that runs from the end of your CHR stair handrail to the wall, giving a continuous rail to hold onto from the top step to the door.

Check your measurements first

• Extends up to 4 feet from the stair handrail to the wall
• Top rail height: 44 inches maximum
• Distance from the handrail post to the wall must not exceed 47.2 inches
• Works with CHR rails made for 1 to 6 steps

Measure from your existing post to the wall before ordering. If the span is longer than 47.2 inches, this extension will not reach.

Design and build

The section pairs a rectangular top rail, which is what your hand rides along, with a square middle rail below it. The look is clean and modern and matches CHR's stair rails so the extension reads as part of the same system rather than an add-on. The metal construction resists rust and corrosion and is built not to bend, rot or fade in outdoor weather.

In the kit you will find the mounting hardware, tools, CHR's dedicated connector that joins the extension to the existing rail, and an installation guide. Parts arrive in a blue protective wrap; leave it on until installation to keep the finish from getting scuffed.

It suits porch entries, deck access steps and landings where guests, kids or older family members want something solid to hold on the last stretch to the door.
