Description
xPremium pre-filtration for RO/DI systems
Meet Aquatic Life Carbon Plus, a compact pre-filter designed to integrate smoothly with modern reverse osmosis and RO/DI setups. This bundle pairs a sturdy 10-inch housing with a carbon block cartridge engineered to tackle common contaminants before they reach delicate membranes. The result can be a more streamlined filtration chain and the potential for better-tasting water, without promising specific outcomes.
What you get in the bundle
- 10" water filter housing canister with standard 1/4" quick-connect fittings for quick setup
- Carbon Plus 10" carbon block cartridge designed for about 3,000 gallons at 0.5 GPM
- 5 feet of 1/4" tubing and a canister wrench included for straightforward installation
- Compatibility with common 10x2.5 housings used in RO/DI systems
What it targets
- Chlorine and chloramine reduction to pre-condition water before filtration stages
- Sediment and particulates that can affect downstream membranes
- NSF/ANSI Standard 42 tested filtration performance for drinking water systems
The Carbon Plus cartridge is designed for use as a practical pre-filter in RO/DI workflows. In real-world terms, it may contribute to a cleaner initial filtration step, potentially helping downstream membranes perform more reliably and water that tastes fresher in everyday use. Results depend on your source water and system configuration, so experiences can vary.
Key performance details
- 3,000 gallons capacity at a 0.5 GPM flow rate (per cartridge)
- Targets chlorine, chloramine, and particulates to address common water quality challenges
- Third-party testing to meet or exceed NSF/ANSI 42 standards for drinking water filtration
Use cases range from upgrading an existing RO/DI unit to adding a pre-filter in new installations where extra filtration is desired before the RO stage. The design emphasizes easy installation with 1/4" quick-connects and included tubing, allowing you to tailor a setup that fits your space and flow needs without a major overhaul.
