Sub-Zero Air Purification Cartridge-7042798 – Universal Compatibility & Filtration

This is the Sub-Zero Air Purification Cartridge, part number 7042798, a replacement filtration cartridge for SUB-ZERO units. Sub-Zero describes it as having universal compatibility across its models, so one part number covers replacement across different units rather than needing to match a cartridge to each one.

What it does

The cartridge runs quietly in the background, filtering continuously to help keep things fresher between replacements. Sub-Zero calls the filtration approach advanced and aims it at common particulates. Once it is in place there is nothing to adjust; the work is simply swapping it on schedule.

Storage and replacement

The construction is non-perishable with a long shelf life. That means you can buy a spare and keep it in a drawer until the current cartridge is due, rather than ordering at the last minute. Having the next one on hand makes routine replacement easier to keep up with.

Before installing

A light white powder may be present on the cartridge from manufacturing. Sub-Zero states it is not harmful. If you see it, wipe the cartridge with a dry cloth before installation for a clean start.

Good to know: check the part number printed on your current cartridge or in your Sub-Zero owner's guide and compare it with 7042798 before ordering. Matching part numbers is the quickest way to confirm you have the right replacement.
