Woodskil 3/4HP Bench Buffer Polisher — 8" Dual Cotton Wheels, 3600 RPM

The Woodskil 3/4HP Bench Buffer Polisher is a dedicated two-wheel buffer for bringing metal, wood, plastics, knives, jade and jewelry to a polished finish. It runs a 4.8A induction motor at a steady 3600 RPM and comes fitted with two 8" cotton wheels.

A bench buffer is different from a bench grinder with a buffing wheel bolted on. The long, ball-bearing shafts on the Woodskil set the wheels well out from the motor housing, so you can turn longer pieces such as knife blades, tool handles and bars against the wheel without hitting the body of the machine. The 8" wheels give a broad face that covers larger pieces quickly and evenly.

Set up for safe, steady work

• Iron base with predrilled mounting holes; bolt it to the bench to stop wobble
• On/off switch with a safety key, so it can't be started by anyone without the key
• Induction motor designed for long sessions with low noise and minimal vibration

Use two wheels for two stages. Charge one with a cutting compound for removing scratches and the other with a finer compound for the final shine, so you don't have to swap compounds on the same wheel.

Good to know: always work on the lower front quarter of the wheel so the rotation pulls the piece away from you, and hold work firmly; a buffer will grab and throw a loosely held part. Wear eye protection and a dust mask, test on scrap first, keep the wheels clean, and check the motor temperature during long runs.
