Description
xThe WOOCH RFID Cabinet Lock is a hidden electronic lock that mounts inside a wooden cabinet, drawer or cupboard. There is no keyhole or keypad on the outside: you hold a programmed RFID card or fob against the outside of the door, the signal passes through the wood, and the latch releases. From the front, the furniture looks untouched.
Will it read through your door?
RFID cards reach through wood up to 1.5 inches (38 mm), and the lock supports doors from 0 to 1.2 inches thick. Check your door thickness and the inside space before ordering, since the lock body has to fit behind the panel.
One card, many locks
A single card or fob can be programmed to open several locks, so a set of office drawers or kitchen cabinets can share one key. Test each one before final installation.
Power
The lock runs on replaceable batteries and can also be powered via a USB cable. When the batteries get low, a long beep warns you, with roughly 15 uses left after the alert. Replace them promptly so you are not locked out of your own cabinet.
The kit contains the hidden lock with its metal latch, an installation template, double sided tape and a user manual, with programming videos available as well.
Typical uses: medicine and cleaning supply cabinets in homes with kids, personal drawers in shared offices, and storage chests with valuables.
Install tip: use the template and double sided tape to position the lock and test it with your card before driving any screws.
