Description
xPremium filtration for the BB9-2 system
Meet Virego’s two-pack of Black Purification Elements, designed for Berkey gravity filtration and backed by NSF/ANSI 42 certification. Constructed with natural coconut shell activated carbon and lead-free, BPA-free materials, they aim to deliver reliable filtration while prioritizing user safety in everyday use.
These elements are built for high-efficiency filtration that targets common water concerns. You may notice a crisper taste, clearer color, and reduced odors as the carbon matrix works to address impurities. The design also helps manage sediments and particulates, contributing to a cleaner water experience without promising guarantees.
Real-world use and benefits
- Ideal for home kitchens, camping trips, and emergency kits where gravity filtration is used.
- Two-pack provides convenience and cost-efficiency for recurring replacements.
Compatibility and materials
- NSF/ANSI 42 certified black purification elements designed for BB9-2 and Berkey systems.
- Compatible with Big, Travel, Royal, Imperial, Crown, and Light series gravity filtration units.
Maintenance and longevity
- For best performance, consider replacing the pair after about 6000 gallons, depending on water conditions.
- Note that total dissolved solids (TDS) levels do not fully indicate water quality, and these filters do not reduce TDS values.
Virego stands behind its products with a risk-free shopping promise. If you encounter an issue, you can reach out for support or a full refund/replacement as appropriate.
