Description
xA two-pack of VANON MWL1806 replacement batteries for Milwaukee 12V cordless tools. Each pack is 7.0Ah, which is a large capacity for the 12V class, so a drill, impact driver or compact saw runs considerably longer between charges than on a small compact pack. These are third-party VANON batteries built to fit the Milwaukee 12V platform, not Milwaukee originals.
Listed compatibility
VANON lists these packs as replacements for Milwaukee 12V batteries including:
- 48-11-2401, 48-11-2402, 48-11-2412
- 48-11-2420, 48-11-2430, 48-11-2440
- 48-11-2460, 48-59-2401
If your current battery's part number is on that list, these slide onto the same tools: drills, drivers, screwdrivers and the other small shop tools on the 12V line.
Capacity and protection
The cells are rated for well over 1000 charge/discharge cycles. Built-in protection guards against over-charging, over-discharging, over-voltage, over-current and short circuits, the faults that shorten lithium-ion battery life or cause a pack to fail. The batteries are CE, FCC and RoHS compliant.
Keep in mind that a higher-capacity pack is physically larger and heavier than a compact 12V battery. On a drill that is rarely an issue and adds runtime, but on a small tool used overhead you may notice the extra weight.
Why two
Two packs mean one can charge while the other works, so you are never waiting on the charger partway through a job. They also let you run two 12V tools at once, say a drill and an impact driver, without swapping a single battery back and forth.
Charge both fully before first use and store them partly charged in a cool, dry place if they will sit unused for a while.
