Description
xThe ULTRALOQ Bolt Fingerprint is a smart front-door lock that opens with a fingerprint, a keypad code, your phone or your voice assistant. It has built-in WiFi, so you can lock, unlock and check it from anywhere without buying a separate hub or gateway, and it pairs with a lever handle.
Ways in
- Fingerprint reader for quick entry
- Keypad with up to 50 access codes
- Apple HomeKit: unlock with an iPhone or Apple Watch, and build automations through a Home hub
- Alexa and Google for voice control and routines
- Shareable ekeys and codes through the app
Auto Lock and Auto Unlock take care of the routine: the door unlocks as you approach and locks behind you when you leave. Door status alerts tell you whether the door is open or closed in real time, so you're not wondering if the kids shut it.
Sharing access
For dog walkers, cleaners, contractors or short-term rental guests, send a temporary code or ekey and revoke it when the visit ends. The app also keeps a log of who came and went, which is useful in rentals and shared homes.
Build and power
The lock carries BHMA Grade AA certification. BHMA grading rates locks for security, durability and finish, and this rating covers strength and resistance to the weather on an exterior door. It runs on 8 AA batteries, which last up to about 10 months between changes depending on use.
Good to know: keep a spare set of AA batteries in the house and replace them as soon as the app shows a low battery warning. Make sure your WiFi signal reaches the front door before installing.
