Tie Boss - 1/4-Inch Medium Duty Tie Down System, 150 lb WLL, 15 ft Rope, Weather Resistant

Tie Boss is a tie-down system built around a patented Jam Cleat that holds rope under constant tension without knots. Pull the rope through the cleat and it locks; give it a light tug in the release direction and it lets go, the same motion as raising and lowering a Venetian blind. This is the 1/4-inch medium-duty version, rated to a 150 lb working load limit.

Why not bungees or knots?

Bungee cords stretch, so loads shift, and a bungee that slips off under tension can snap back with real force. Knots loosen as a load settles and take time to tie and untie properly. The Jam Cleat avoids both: the rope stays tight, and you adjust it with one hand.

In the pack

• 1 Tie Boss Jam Cleat
• 15 ft of solid-braid polypropylene rope
• 1 G-Hook
• 1 S-Hook

The nylon cleat body resists rust, corrosion and weather, so it can live on a trailer or outdoors as well as in a garage. Tie Boss is made in the USA.

Ways to use it

Securing gear in a pickup bed or on a utility trailer; hoisting a kayak, bike or storage tote up to garage rafters and holding it there; tying down tarps; bundling lumber or pipe. For hoisting, the one-handed operation is the advantage: you can pull a load up hand over hand and it locks wherever you stop.

Good to know: stay within the 150 lb working load limit, and inspect the rope regularly for fraying or UV wear, especially if it lives outdoors. Polypropylene rope is light and does not rot, but replace it when it shows wear.
