Description
xSTARELO L14-30C Outdoor Locking Plug with Protective Box
Meet STARELO L14-30C, a locking female plug housed in a rugged protective box, designed for outdoor power connections. The combination of a secure locking mechanism and a weatherproof shell helps keep the connection stable in outdoor environments while you focus on the task at hand.
This adapter supports 125/250V and up to 30A, configured as a 3-pole 4-wire grounding system. It is ETL listed, which often signals compatibility with a wide range of equipment and transfer switches. The housing carries an IP66 rating, indicating robust protection against dust intrusion and water jets from all directions when installed correctly.
Why this STARELO L14-30C stands out
- Locking connector for a secure fit, reducing inadvertent disconnections on windy job sites or busy outdoor setups.
- Protective box keeps the contacts shielded when not in use, helping minimize dust ingress and moisture exposure.
- ETL listed for compliance confidence and ease of integration with generator transfer switches or welding equipment.
- Durable plastic housing and outdoor-ready design support long-term outdoor use and regular handling without compromising safety.
Practical use cases
In a home backup power scenario, pair the STARELO L14-30C with a transfer switch to connect a generator to essential circuits. On a construction site, use it to power portable welding setups with a stable, protected connection. For events, it can simplify outdoor power distribution while keeping plugs protected from weather.
- Reliable power connection during back-up generator operation.
- Secure locking mechanism minimizes accidental unplugging in active environments.
- Weatherproof and dustproof design helps maintain performance in outdoor conditions.
Design details and compatibility
The unit includes a dedicated protective box, and the cover closes to shield the contacts when idle. A note about threads explains that the reserved thread is metric, and when needed, M25 or M32 metric waterproof adapters can achieve IP66 protection, available in the STARELO store.
Connecting this L14-30C unit to generators or welding machines is straightforward, with the 125/250V, 30A rating and the correct grounding scheme. The sturdy plastic casing is built to handle frequent outdoor handling, transport, and installation at job sites or outdoor setups.
