xOverview
Meet the SANKINS 14-inch gate spring set, built to handle outdoor duty with a tough steel body and a matte black powder finish. Designed for wooden and vinyl gates, this pair of self-closing hardware aims to simplify gate management while standing up to the elements. The system emphasizes durability, weather resistance, and reliable performance in everyday outdoor setups.
Key benefits
- Premium material and finish: robust steel with a corrosion-resistant coat to tolerate outdoor exposure and daily use.
- Adjustable spring tension: lock pin and regulator tool enable you to tailor the closing action to your gate’s size and weight.
- Easy installation: clear mounting instructions and all necessary fasteners are included, simplifying setup on posts and gates.
- Versatile compatibility: suitable for outdoor vinyl doors, wooden fences, sheds, lawns, and more, with left- or right-swing configurations.
- Reinforced construction: improved welded connections help reduce the risk of premature wear over time.
What’s included
- 2x 14-inch self-closing gate springs
- 2x 7/8-inch locking rivets
- 2x 3-1/4-inch tension bars
- 2x installation instructions
- 8x 1-inch mounting screws
How to use and install
Install one spring side onto the post and the other onto the gate. When tightening fasteners, avoid over-tightening on vinyl fences to maintain proper movement. The included regulator tool lets you adjust the closing speed to suit your gate’s weight and desired feel. This setup offers a convenient, hands-off closure that can help keep gates from being left ajar in outdoor spaces.
Applications and considerations
These springs are designed for a variety of outdoor applications, including vinyl doors, agricultural and garden fences, sheds, terraces, and pool areas. They are intended for both heavy and light gate operations and are suitable for left- or right-handed swing installations. Regular inspection of mounting points is recommended to maintain optimal performance.
