Description
xOverview
Upgrade your indoor air with the Komashr 12x12x1 Air Filter MERV 13, sold as a practical 4-pack for everyday homes. These filters are designed to fit most 12x12x1 slots with a snug, no-gap installation, helping maintain steady airflow and a cleaner living space. The blend of robust filtration and durable construction supports a calmer, drier environment around your vents and living areas.
What makes it stand out
Each filter uses 100% synthetic media that is electrostatically charged, paired with a higher pleat count to maximize surface area. This combination aims to capture a broad range of airborne particles while maintaining an accessible size—actual size 11.75x11.75x0.75 inches—for a reliable seal and consistent performance.
Key specifications
- Nominal Size: 12x12x1, Actual Size: 11.75x11.75x0.75
- MERV 13 filtration, comparable with MPR 1500-1900 & FPR 10
- 100% synthetic, electrostatically charged media with higher pleat count
- Durable moisture‑resistant frame using beverage board and wire backing
- Includes a reusable microfiber dust cloth
- Installs in seconds — no tools required
Durability and maintenance
The heavy-duty frame resists warping in humidity and heat, helping maintain a reliable seal across the filter life. Depending on air quality and system usage, each filter can last up to 90 days, with optimal performance when replaced every 3 months.
Practical benefits in daily life
For households dealing with dust, pet dander, or seasonal pollen, upgrading to a MERV 13 option may help reduce visible buildup and maintain steadier airflow. The included microfiber cloth makes quick vent cleaning convenient during changes, turning a routine swap into a small, tidy ritual.
Compatibility extends to furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps that use standard slots. A snug fit reduces bypass and supports overall system efficiency, giving you the option to monitor air quality over time without overpromising results.
How to install and care
- Inspect the slot and filter to ensure the correct orientation for a flush fit
- Insert with the airflow arrows pointing in the direction of airflow
- Replace every 90 days or sooner if airflow noticeably drops
- Use the included dust cloth to wipe surrounding surfaces during changes
