Why this matters in real life
In homes with frequent door use, a reliable self closing mechanism can help maintain draft control and improve energy efficiency without relying on heavier hardware. The adjustable tension lets you tailor the closing action to your doorway’s traffic, reducing wear on latches and minimizing loud slams. The durable finish keeps hardware looking fresh in hallways, garages, and entryways where humidity or moisture may be present.
These hinges are designed for both new installations and replacements. A single hinge can be swapped one at a time, making it easier to plan upgrades room by room without extensive door removal. With UL listing and ANSI Grade 1 certification, you gain confidence in the product’s safety and long-term performance.
What’s included
- Two HOSOM self-closing hinges
- Hex wrench for tension adjustment
- Installation guide
Installation and maintenance tips
Install hinges one at a time to keep doors aligned. Use a screwdriver to swap out existing hinges, then use the hex wrench to set your preferred closing force. While results can vary by door and frame, the tension adjustment gives you a practical way to fine-tune the action over time.
