Description
xMeet the Hakko CHP-170-5PK Micro Cutters
Designed for precise manual trimming, the CHP-170-5PK bundles five micro cutters with flush-cut capability. With an 8mm-long jaw and a 21-degree angle, these tools excel at cleanly trimming copper and soft-wire up to 16 gauge (about 1.3 mm).
Durability you can rely on
Constructed from hardened carbon steel at 2.5 mm, the cutters resist wear while maintaining a sharp edge. The Rockwell hardness rating of 56 adds long-lasting bite, and Parkerized surfaces help reduce glare while improving corrosion resistance. Precision-ground surfaces ensure smooth movement and tight tolerances for repeated use.
Precision, comfort, and control
Ergonomics matter when you’re working in tight spaces. The nonslip hand grips stay secure even when your hands are damp, and an internal spring returns the tool to the open position, cutting fatigue during extended sessions. The dolphin-style fore-edge shields your fingers from the cutting surfaces while you guide the cut.
- Nonslip grips for secure handling and confident cuts
- Internal spring returns the jaw to open position to reduce fatigue
- Dolphin-style fore-edge protects hands during flush cuts
What you can accomplish
Ideal for electronics, model making, and light assembly work, these cutters deliver flush cuts that leave tidy ends and minimal snag risk. The 8mm jaw length and 21-degree angle help reach recessed wires without marring insulation or nearby components. The 16 gauge maximum capacity matches typical soft-wire tasks.
- Flush-cut capability for neat terminations
- Clean edges suitable for delicate wire work
- Pack of five provides consistent tools for teams or multiple projects
Whether stocking a workshop or upgrading a micro-assembly kit, the CHP-170-5PK offers a reliable, long-lasting option for precise wire trimming. The combination of soft-wire suitability, durable build, and user-focused design can help you work more efficiently on copper and other soft materials.
