Description
xMeet the Franklin Sensors ProSensor T9, a stud finder designed to help you locate framing behind walls with confidence. The key is the 8-sensor array that tracks the center and edges of studs, delivering a richer read than traditional single-sensor tools. Built in the USA, this device aims to support precise mounting tasks while keeping setup simple.
What makes it different
- 8 sensors deliver more data points and potentially higher accuracy than older models
- Displays the center and edges of each stud at once, through drywall and similar materials
- No calibration required, one mode covers a range of depths and textures
- Thorough detection through common wall coverings, reducing the guesswork
- Uses standard AAA batteries, not compatible with rechargeable packs
- Durable design trusted by professionals and DIYers
Easy, everyday use
To start scanning, simply press and hold the button and sweep the tool across the wall. The LEDs illuminate to show where a stud is located, and the center marker helps you align mounts accurately. You can begin anywhere on the surface, which reduces the need to hunt for a stud behind cluttered walls.
Real world scenarios
Hang a heavy shelf, mount a TV, or frame a large mirror with more confidence. When installing shelves, you want to locate studs that can support weight, and the T9’s center and edge readings can guide your layout. For projects like gallery walls, the consistent center indication helps keep lines straight across multiple pieces.
Tech notes
- Suitable for wood and metal studs; works behind drywall and similar coverings
- Battery type: AAA; not designed for rechargeable batteries
- Made in the USA, combining local manufacturing with Franklin Sensors reliability
