Description
xFranGoo Houdini Lock Lube is a spray lubricant made for lock mechanisms, sold here as a set of two 11 oz cans. Locksmiths have relied on it for more than 30 years for routine servicing. It penetrates deep into the keyway and pin stack, where dust and friction cause sticking.
A stiff lock usually doesn't need replacing. It is often just dry or gummed up inside. A light spray into the keyway can make key insertion smoother, help the tumblers move freely and stop the half-turn jam that leaves you wrestling a key in the cold. It works on door locks, padlocks and cabinet locks.
How to apply
- Shake the can.
- Aim at the keyway or the part that is sticking and give it a light spray.
- Insert the key and work the lock several times to spread the lubricant.
- Wipe away any excess from the face of the lock.
Reapply as part of regular maintenance, or whenever a lock starts to feel reluctant. The 11 oz spray gives a good balance of coverage and control, so you can put it into a small keyway without overspraying the door. Results vary with the type and condition of the lock.
The two-pack works well for homeowners, property managers and facility teams who look after a lot of shared doors. You can keep one can in the toolbox and one in the truck or utility room.
Good to know: store the cans somewhere cool and dry, away from heat sources.
