3M Pro-Comms Electronic Hearing Protector with Bluetooth, 26 dB NRR, Gel Cushions | 90546-SIOC

The 3M Pro-Comms Electronic Hearing Protector (90546-SIOC) is an earmuff-style headset for crews who need to cut harmful noise and still talk to each other. It carries a Noise Reduction Rating of 26 dB, or 25 dB when worn with a hard hat, and adds Bluetooth so calls and audio come through the same ear cups.

Hearing what matters on a loud site

External microphones pick up ambient sound, so warnings, back-up alarms and a co-worker's voice are not lost behind the cushions. Those mics are recessed into the shell, which cuts wind noise and keeps them out of harm's way when the headset gets knocked around. For talking back, a noise-cancelling boom microphone is tuned for high-noise environments so your voice reaches the other end clearly.

Communication features

Bluetooth handles phone calls and streaming audio without you reaching for a phone, and push-to-talk works with third-party apps for headset-to-headset and group calls. Audio Assist and ergonomically laid-out controls simplify setup, while gel ear cushions spread pressure and hold a stable seal through long shifts.

Typical settings include construction sites, maintenance bays, production floors and field service rounds, anywhere a team has to coordinate without shutting equipment down.

Good to know: NRR is a laboratory figure, and the protection you actually get depends on a good seal. Keep hair, glasses arms and hood material out from under the cushions, and remember the rating drops to 25 dB with a hard hat.
