Adjustability and installation

The 4-1/2 inch stem fits doors up to 4-1/2 inches thick. To adjust, remove the set screw with the included Allen wrench, slide the bracket to the desired position, then reinstall and tighten to secure. If you’re drilling mounting holes, a 3/8 inch drive bit is handy. Install by attaching the exterior L-handle, align the interior D-handle to your door thickness, twist the L-handle 90 degrees to open, and secure with the two screws from the back to keep screw heads hidden on the outside.

The black powder-coated finish helps resist corrosion on exterior parts. When installed correctly, the retaining screws are driven from the back, leaving a clean exterior look. The interior D-handle latches to the frame and is fastened to the shaft with set screws for reliable operation.
