Overview

Meet ARCCAPTAIN iControl CUT55 MP, a compact plasma cutter designed for reliable, clean cuts on a variety of metals. It uses a non-high-frequency blowback pilot arc, which minimizes electromagnetic interference and makes starting cuts on rusty or painted surfaces easier without touching the metal.

With a capable 55 amp output at 240V, it delivers smooth passes through steel, stainless steel, copper, and more, achieving cut ranges of 12–15 mm at 120V and 18–26 mm at 240V. This translates to fast setup and predictable results for everyday fabrication tasks.

The built-in APP connectivity lets you manage cutting current, monitor air pressure, and receive error alerts from your mobile device. Real-time visibility helps you stay on task, minimize downtime, and keep operations safer.

Versatile Cutting Functions

Beyond basic cutting, the CUT55 MP supports expanded metal cutting, rust removal, and plasma gouging. Expanded metal enables continuous cuts on mesh or perforated sheets, rust removal cleanly removes coatings without contact, and plasma gouging levels surfaces for prep and matching welds. (Note: replace the nozzle when using plasma gouging.)

Real-time Air Pressure Monitoring

A digital air pressure monitor continuously checks incoming air pressure and displays it on the LED panel. If pressure drifts outside the optimal range, the system signals an alert to help prevent undercutting, arc instability, or torch damage, promoting consistent cuts and longer consumable life. Recommended pressure: 0.3–0.55 MPa (0.4 MPa / 57.5 PSI).

Flexible Operation and Safety

Choose from multiple trigger options (PA, PT, 2T, 4T) to match different cutting tasks, from quick tasks to long runs. A full safety protection system guards against over-voltage, over-current, overload, overheating, and air pressure faults, with automatic shutdowns and alarms for peace of mind during professional work or DIY projects.
